I am assuming that you tried Microsoft Internet Explorer? If it works than obviously it isn't any of your hardware (which it seems you've ruled out already).
My kids got a Mozilla virus of some sort. Would not allow you to google or gmail but some other URLs seemed to work. I reformatted Gwen's computer because I could figure out how else to get rid of the gremlins. I may have to do the same for Aleks, Jonathan and Nathaniel (Christopher will do his own).
