This is exactly why I'm aiming to go 100% digital. I'm still a fan of my phanfare.com service even though they made some unfavorable changes to social networking (i.e. facebook like) recently, they finally reverted back to their original model of photo-sharing because their customer-base was bailing to their competitors left and right. It's very easy to use, I just dump all my photos out there and they are immediately available online (and backed up in 3 different locations). On occasion I go out and clean up by hiding the dupes and lousy takes, since I take about 5-10 shots of everything I point my camera at. But even the dupes are still out there if I ever feel I need them, I can just unhide them.
I started scanning some of my old photos to upload to phanfare. That is a ton of tedious work and I've only scraped the tip of the iceberg! But I'd be thrilled to finish that project and get all of my boxes and shelves of photos put away in an attic or storage for good.
