My Grandma gave me this little pitcher in the late 1990's, shortly before she passed away. It was her mother's. I came across it in one of the boxes in the garage and had to bring it in post-haste. It's now on the kitchen ledge, reminding my of my Grandma, whose birthday is today.

day 87
We have these tall, ugly, awful trees (I think they're trees - I really don't know) in our backyard that sprout these big, ugly, awful leaves. The trees have been bare (thank goodness), but are now coming to life. I really wish they would die and be dead and be dug out and be gone. Ugh.

Got these shorts today at TJ Maxx.... I love orange. It may not look good on me, but I love it anyway.

Our satellite is out. Again. Luckily we've DVR'd a bunch of episodes of one of the greatest shows ever! It's now one of Connor's favorite shows as well.

Trying to clean out the garage, which means finally bringing the boxes of books inside. Still about 6 more [small] boxes that haven't made it in yet...

day 81
My parents went to Paris last month and brought us back this cool little crystal Eiffel Tower; it lights up in different colors. The kids love it. My Dad wrote about part of the trip HERE.

It's done. Two cars. Though I really like this new ride, I'm so sad to give up the Malibu (and accompanying gas card) next week. Boo hoo!

Mr. Matty LOVES playing with balls, and we LOVE to see him smile. Click HERE for the post.

According to Kristen, Avery's feet have been growing so fast. Maybe she'll be tall like her Dad. Click HERE for the post.

Bubble-gum ice cream? I caught a glimpse of this as we were strolling down the ice cream aisle. It doesn't sound good to me, but I immediately thought of Aleks and her love of bubble-gum. Check out her bubble-gum birthday cake!

day 72
When I signed up (a month ago) to bring a cake to tonight's Enrichment dinner, I had great plans of baking a yummy homemade - or at least semi-homemade - cake. I even found what looks like a tasty recipe for a coconut cake. But when this week rolled around, all I could muster was a box mix and store-bought frosting. Ugh.

day 71
Glamour Shots... Stopped in at the YW activity. Alyssa, who probably hasn't yet worn a stitch of make-up in her young life, was double-teamed by Dyana and Marni with a crimping iron and blue eyeshadow and liner.

Zoey is fascinated by anything having to do with the irrigation/sprinkler system... somehow she got this drain-thing out. When she saw me eyeballing her she took off for the bushes.

De-cluttering... I spent a bit of time this evening going through old magazines and pulling out the recipes that look tasty (and simple). Not that I'll ever make them (why am I surrounded by such picky eaters?), but it's always good to have a stash. Perhaps for Recipe Club... Zoey's in her usual position - on my feet.
