Brett's City of Hope Care Page... A good friend of ours was just diagnosed with abdominal cancer over the holidays. What a shock! He underwent a 10-hour surgery last night wherein the doctor removed 1/2 of his stomach, 1/3 of his large intestine, his spleen, appendix and gall bladder. This website keeps his friends and family updated...

I've never made cake mix cookies before, so I thought I'd give it a try. Ridiculously easy and quite tasty. Used this recipe.

day 22
Felt like a hot chocolate day... My *favorite* hot chocolate mix and my *favorite* spoon. Yes, I have a favorite spoon - the irreplaceable Nestle Quik Rabbit spoon, mail-ordered with proof of purchase when I was just a youth. And no, I didn't go to Dartmouth. But my brother did.
CHECK THIS OUT: The Library of Congress has a collection of really cool old photos on Flickr. Click HERE for a look.

Turned the fireplace on this morning to warm up the house. Zoey sat like this for something like 20 minutes. Guess she needed a little warming-up!

Working from home... it likely will be coming to an end (more sooner than later, I'm afraid) so I'll take advantage of it when I can.

I actually made something for dinner. Thai Crunch Pizza... ala CPK. Kevin won't touch it ("where's the pepperoni?"), so it's ALL MINE! Found the recipe *HERE*

I stopped for lunch (2 tacos for 99 cents and a large Diet Coke) on the way from the gym back to the office, effectively negating the hour work-out I had just done.

Project 365 - 2008
So... Last night I was checking out some of my favorite blogs and came across this on Ali Edwards' blog: Project 365 - How to Take a Photo a Day and See Your Life in a Whole New Way. I decided to take on the challenge... and extended it to a few of my girlfriends as well. We'll see what happens!
