Had to go to Walnut Creek for work this week. This was inside the stall in the women's restroom. Actually, the stall was graced with not one, but TWO of these nicely laminated reminders. Mind you, this is in an office that employs adults. One would think a reminder wouldn't be necessary... perhaps not?
In an effort to relieve the boredom of riding the Lifecycle in the garage, I fashioned a stand for the portable DVD player out of an upside-down hamper and wooden plant stand. It was the PERFECT height! I pedaled while watching Kevin Bacon cut footloose. What a classic!
Ahhhh... they're reading! I don't know that Kate's choice of seating is conducive to great reading comprehension, but at least the book's open, right?
Worked in Orange today... with Orange comes the Corner Bakery. Brought a treat home this time. Ooo-yum!

I don't know why he thinks this, but he does. Noodles + Prego. Apparently that's all it takes to please the boy.
GOOD MORNING! There was a Sigalert on the westbound 60 in Diamond Bar this morning. It took me 3.25 hours to get to work. The cherry on top: Kevin and I had switched cars. I sat in bumper-to-bumper traffic for hours driving a stick shift. Ugh!!
Unfortunately, this picture didn't come out as well as I hoped. My friend Laurie and I treated ourselves to a {late} birthday lunch (Laurie's is the day before mine) at Alicia's Cafe in Brea. This place has the tastiest food EVER! You can't tell what's in this yummy salad, but let me tell you - it was fantastic: in addition to the lettuce there was sliced dried dates, honey-roasted peanuts, BBQ chicken, jicama, and goldfish crackers. Totally unlikely combination, but delicious. It was topped off with a fresh poppy seed roll, fruit, and homemade cookies.
I got this cute birthday hat from Jenniffer. Since Connor's birthday is coming up, I offered to let him wear it. He said that unless the birthday hat had wolves or dogs on it, he wouldn't wear it.
My friend Marni is moving {sad}. I offered to watch her kids while they packed up the truck. Cutie-pie Dallin hammed it up.
