A bird's eye view of my neighborhood. Mark flew himself and Peter into our local airport today. Once they got here he took me up for a ride. It wasn't as scary as I thought it would be, though he did freak me out once when he did a dip. I can't believe my little brother is a pilot!

We had a power outage for almost 6 hours this evening (and into the night). We had to light candles to make our way around the house.

According to Kate, her mom told her that if she agreed to get a haircut, she'd be allowed to put blue gel in. Apparently that's all it took to get 5 (or so) inches lopped off.

Now Kate can't stop playing with her hair... brushing it, combing it, flipping it, smoothing it... I think she may be transitioning out of her self-proclaimed tom-boy stage.
